Cyber Security Engineer Level 1

Cyber security engineers help businesses by protecting their computer and networking systems from potential hackers and cyber-attacks. They safeguard sensitive data of a business from hackers and cyber-criminals who often create new ways to infiltrate sensitive databases.

We are looking to hire a cyber security engineer with an analytical mind and a detailed understanding of cybersecurity methodologies. 

Cyber security engineers are expected to have meticulous attention to detail, outstanding problem-solving skills, work comfortably under pressure, and deliver on tight deadlines.

To ensure success, a cyber security engineer must display an excellent understanding of technology infrastructures such as:

  • Firewalls (we mostly use pfSense, Fortigate, Watchguard and Cisco)
  • VPN setup and troubleshooting
  • Data Loss Prevention
  • IDS/IPS (we use Acronis and Comodo solutions)
  • Security Audits (Vulnerability Assessments, Penetration tests)

Top candidates will be comfortable working with various technologies, security problems, and network troubleshooting.

Cyber Security Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Planning, implementing, managing, monitoring, and upgrading security measures for the protection of the organization's data, systems, and networks.
  • Troubleshooting EDR, Antivirus, and Whitelisting problems.
  • Troubleshooting other security-related and network problems.
  • Resolving client tickets and requests regarding implemented security solutions such as Acronis and Comodo/Xcitium.
  • Responding to all system and/or network security breaches.
  • Ensuring that the organization's data and infrastructure are protected by enabling the appropriate security controls.
  • Participating in the change management process.
  • Testing and identifying network and system vulnerabilities.
  • Daily administrative tasks, reporting, and communication with the relevant departments in the organization.

Cyber Security Engineer Requirements:

  • A degree in computer science, IT, systems engineering, or related qualification.
  • 3 years of work experience with incident detection, incident response, and forensics.
  • Experience with Firewalls (functionality and maintenance), Office 365 Security, VSX, and Endpoint Security.
  • Proficiency in Python, C++, Java, Ruby, Node, Go, and/or Power Shell.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail with an analytical mind and outstanding problem-solving skills.
  • Great awareness of cybersecurity trends and hacking techniques.
  • Experience in troubleshooting Windows Server, Hypervisor and Active directory problems will a big plus.

The Cyber Security Engineer Level 2 is responsible for protecting the organization's computer systems, networks, and data from unauthorized access, use, disclosure, disruption, modification, or destruction. This includes implementing security measures, monitoring and analyzing security breaches, and responding to security incidents.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in cyber security

IT Support Engineer Level 2

IT engineers are high-level IT personnel who design, install, and maintain a company’s computer systems. They are responsible for testing, configuring, and troubleshooting hardware, software, and networking systems to meet the needs of the employer. IT engineers may also be required to train staff and manage projects.

Type of Work

The IT Support Engineer will work mostly with a physical presence in the headquarters of our company 40 hours per week. There are optional requirements from the company for an engineer to work outside business hours but only if the employee agrees tto the terms.

IT Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Meeting with the IT manager to discuss system needs.
  • Designing and installing computer hardware configurations.
  • Installing software and networking systems.
  • Working Remotely or On-Site at the client premises to resolve technical problems.
  • Troubleshooting network and software issues to the Clients under contract or to Partners.
  • Installing high-level software security systems.
  • Training staff on newly installed hardware and software systems.
  • Fixing hardware, software, and networking issues in endpoints and Servers (Windows, Linux, Mac)
  • Responding to general IT requests.
  • Ensuring security software is kept up to date.
  • Filing monthly reports for the IT Manager.
  • Educating and Onboarding Customers and Partners for the specialized software that the company supports (Data Recovery, Cloud Backup, Cyber Security Solutions, Antivirus, etc)
  • Performing Live Webinars and Demonstrations through Zoom, Teams, and other videoconferencing software

IT Engineer Basic Requirements:

  • 8 Years of hands-on experience troubleshooting computers & networks
  • Completed Military Obligations
  • Experience in setting up and configuring local and wireless networks
  • Experience in configuring Firewalls & Routers
  • Active experience in Networking (VLAN, Routing, STP, etc)
  • Design and implement Networking solutions such as VPN, DNS, DHCP, etc
  • Designing and implementing Active Directory, Group policy etc
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a similar field.
  • Extensive knowledge of computer hardware systems.
  • Familiarity with Windows OS systems, Enterprise, programming languages, and Office software.
  • Knowledge of LAN and wireless networks.
  • Driver's License.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex software and hardware issues.
  • Very good written and verbal communication in Eglish

Skills that are important for the selection:
